Writing a book is one of the most personal creative journeys a person can undertake. Behind every manuscript is an individual with a unique story, perspective or idea they wish to share with the world. Our aim is to provide something increasingly rare within publishing: a close, founder-led collaboration where every project is approached with care, discretion and genuine partnership.

With our complementary backgrounds in literature, research and the arts, we combine creative insight with editorial expertise to guide each project from its earliest ideas to a finished manuscript. We build lasting relationships with our clients, developing a bespoke approach that ensures every book remains authentic to its author while achieving the highest literary standard.

Unlike many services which focus primarily on commercial output, we believe every book begins with an individual who has something important to say. Our role is not simply to write a manuscript, but to help uncover, develop and communicate ideas with clarity, authenticity and impact.Every project begins with a conversation.
Whether over coffee or via Zoom, we take the time to understand not only your ideas, but your voice, ambitions and audience. From there, we create a collaborative process tailored to your goals, whether that involves research, editorial development, ghostwriting, book proposals or navigating the publishing process itself.
Writing is deeply personal. Whilst we are ambitious for every project we undertake, we are equally committed to discretion, sensitivity and trust. Above all, we believe the finished work should always remain unmistakably yours.

We believe books should remain fundamentally human creations. Whilst Artificial Intelligence has an increasingly valuable role within publishing, we believe it should assist creativity rather than replace it. Every manuscript we help produce is grounded in human imagination, judgement and artistic expression, preserving the unique voice of every author we work with.

Fundamental to our ethos is a commitment to the free expression of ideas. We welcome projects that challenge assumptions, encourage meaningful conversation and contribute thoughtfully to public discourse. Whilst we will never work on material that incites hatred or is gratuitously offensive, we are passionate about helping authors explore important questions with honesty, intellectual curiosity and integrity.

Harry Saul Markham
Founder & Lead Writer
Harry Saul Markham is a writer, ghostwriter and editorial consultant. A graduate of University College London, where he read History, Harry is the author of the prize-nominated The Melted Pot: Diversity, Antisemitism, and the Limits of Tolerance. The book is widely endorsed by prominent figures including Stephen Fry and Steven Pinker. Harry is represented by The Hamilton Agency, and is currently ghostwriting a forthcoming book for a prominent American journalist, to be published by HarperCollins (Broadside Books), working closely with its author from concept through to publication. He has also just finished his first novel, alongside Ella, a work of literary fiction.

Alongside his writing, Harry has appeared regularly on GB News and other media, and has spoken widely on politics, culture and free speech. He previously served as a Junior Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP), where his research focused on democracy, identity and antisemitism. He also served as the Head of Research and Policy at The Association of British Muslims, where he took on a leading role in interfaith and counter-extremism.
As co-founder of The Markham Partnership, Harry works closely with every client to develop books that are intellectually rigorous, distinctive and true to the author's voice.

Outside of work, he loves to read classical fiction, enjoys intense running, supports his beloved West Ham United, and, most of all, tends to his naughty Khao Mane cat, Mister Albert.
Ella Markham
Co-Founder, Literary and Editorial Director
Ella Markham is a writer, editor and multidisciplinary artist whose work is rooted in a lifelong fascination with storytelling. Drawing upon experience across literature, theatre and performance, she works closely with authors to shape books that are intellectually ambitious, emotionally resonant and true to the individuality of each writer's voice.
Ella graduated from Wimbledon College of Arts (University of the Arts London) before completing a Master's degree with Distinction in Advanced Theatre Practice at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. She has performed in venues such as Tate Britain and Riverside Studios. Throughout her career, she has written, directed and developed original creative work, cultivating a deep understanding of narrative, character and artistic collaboration.
As co-founder of The Markham Partnership, Ella combines creative insight with meticulous editorial attention, guiding clients from the earliest stages of an idea through to a finished manuscript. She believes the strongest books emerge through trust, conversation and a genuine partnership between author and editor.

Outside of her work, she loves to play the piano, read early 20th century fiction, and care for the local wildlife, especially for the humble pigeon.
